Armin van Buuren was born in 1973 in the Hague and started with DJing when he was five years old. He currently lives together with his family in a house in Vlaardingen, the Netherlands.He now has a network of events around the world through his ARTV (The Art of Trance Volume I: Armin van Buuren) One series from this year featuring over 80 hours of Armin and a companion series entitled Arklightm

Armin has also shared the stage with a wide range of artists in the 1990s including Pete Tong, John Digweed, Tiesto, Dash Berlin, Above & Beyond, Hardwell, Max Graham, Ferry Corsten, and Stanton Warriors. He also had numerous commercial successes in his own right with his released hit singles such as Faded, (Let Me Be Your) Distortion, A State of Trance and Adagio For Strings, as well as being the producer behind major trance hits and multiple album releases such as Euphoria, Fade Into Darkness, Centurion, Suomi Finland Diamaalio, With A Little Help From My Friends, and the critically acclaimed A State of Trance 3001. His longevity, however, is in part credited to his hugely successful DJ tours where in the last two decades he has played to audiences in over 300 countries.

Armin van Buuren celebrated his 28th year as a DJ and his first completely Dolby Atmos mix album Balance was released in October. He has always been at the forefront of making music that appeals to all, and with Dolby Atmos as the next logical step in the evolution of the sound, it will be a fresh and exciting addition to the mix.
